About: Gerhard Schlosser

Gerhard Schlosser holds a degree in chemical engineering from TFH in Berlin.

He acquired his extensive Asia experience during multiple assignments for major European companies. From 1982 to 1988, he held a management position with Ciba-Geigy in Japan. In 1993 he moved to Hong Kong to run the Asia-Pacific business for one of the Ciba-Geigy’s divisions and later on becoming the global head for this division. In 1998 Henkel asked Gerhard Schlosser to join them and to run their entire Japan business unit which he did for 9 years with extraordinary success. During 2007 and 2008, he became the president and CEO of Schindler AG in Japan.

Since early 2009 Gerhard Schlosser is Partner of G&S Asia with foucs on consulting and supporting Japanese and European companies in the areas of business development and executive search. His industrial focus and expertise is the following industries: Chemicals, Additives, Adhesives, Plastics & Polymers, Automotive Parts, Care Chemicals, Cosmetics and Household Care Products.
